Portraits of children form an important part of Keith`s work. Not
surprisingly this is because they make excellent family gifts and
also record key stages in years of rapid growth. A formal approach
certainly does not work with children – they need to be lighter
and more dynamic, often with a touch of humour.
Though Keith does not regard himself as a wildlife artist, he has
produced many works involving pets and animals, ranging from domestic
dogs to Gorillas! He recognises that animals have personalities too,
and for this reason they deserve the same preparation accorded to
human subjects. |
