Keith Turley has produced a range of limited edition prints of the Black Country as well as popular themes from the comedy world. The most recent one, “Spirit of the Forties” marks a slightly different departure, being about a time rather than a place. All are printed on high quality heavyweight 300gsm paper using the latest lightfast inks. Each is signed and numbered by the artist, and are sent out in a robust postal tube. Dads Army

In the style of a wartime poster complete with Union Jacks, this features the “magnificant seven” of Captain Mainwaring, Sergeant Wilson, Corporal Jones, Fraser, Pike Godfrey and Walker. In addition, there are cameo portraits of Warden Hodges, the Vicar and Verger. The design is linked together by wartime posters, a soldier`s helmet, a gas mask case and a Lee Enfield 303 bolt action rifle. A radio from the period, together with a hand grenade with the “deadly attachment” of string completes the foreground. A central panel shows Jones`van travelling through Walmington-on-Sea, whilst the upper area of searchlights reveals a barrage balloon and a trio of spitfires. This is featured as an illustration in Richard Webber`s “A-Z of Dad`s Army”

Carry on Forever

This celebrates 40 years of the long running “Carry On” series of films produced by Peter Rogers, and which began in 1958. The original hangs at Pinewood Studios, home of the Carry Ons. There are references to every one of them (see if you can spot them all!) This is featured as an illustration in Richard Webber`s “A-Z OF Everything Carry On”

The central characters of Del Boy and Rodney are surrounded by all the members of this marvellous cast, including the much missed Grandad, Uncle Albert, Racquel and Cassandra. The “Nag`s Head” crowd are included too, with Denzil, Trigger, Boycie and Marlene as well as Mike the barman and Mickey Pearce. Other areas show the background of Peckham Market, Nelson Mandela House, not to mention Del Boy`s beloved three wheeled Robin Reliant Van. References are made to key episodes, including the hilarious blow up dolls, the doomed crystal chandelier and Del Boy`s ill fated hang gliding adventure.
