portrait work for many years,and they have taken a variety of forms.
The commissions have been for a number of different reasons which
have ranged from presentations as gifts, to record a person at a particular
stage of their life, or to remember someone after a sad loss. The
reason for the commission can affect the way in which it is carried
out. The examples below show that "Geoff" and "Rachel" are celebratory
in nature, whilst "Betty" is is quietly reflective. The artist takes
