Artist`s Statement;
This portrait was auctioned at a Comic Heritage event at Sid`s former home in Ealing. It was a pleasure to paint this, as his face is full of character with the familiar wealth of creases and wrinkles. I have painted Sid on numerous occasions, in connection with his Hancock years as well as his long series of “Carry On” films. (See prints section)
