This shows an environment which is based upon old images of the Stourbridge (Wordsley) glass cone, with its central red hot fire, and the intense activity around it, by both the skilled glass workers and those employed to keep production going. The canal, seen outside of the doors, would not only bring the raw materials, but also take away the finished products for delivery elsewhere.
