Born in Birmingham, Keith has over thirty years experience as a teacher of Art. Alongside the job of teaching, he has carried out numerous commissions, and exhibited regularly. Early career successes included winning the Midlands Open 25, and the Sandwell Jubilee Medal. He also held one man shows at the Edgbaston New Art Gallery and the Midlands Art Centre, as well as being a regular exhibitor at MIDART.

After three successful exhibitions at the Hexagon Theatre Reading, Keith was asked to carry out special commissions for The Heritage Foundation, who honour late, great showbusiness stars whilst raising money for charity. Over a number of years, Keith has produced portraits of many of our most popular comedians and entertainers. These works have been auctioned and have raised significant amounts for good causes.

More recently, Keith has turned his attention to more ordinary subject matter in the form of portraiture and figure paintings, often featuring people in interesting, perhaps work environments. These works are characteristically large, and carried out in an increasingly painterly style. Many such works have drawn inspiration from local craft and industry, such as Glass and Chainmaking, and have been featured in numerous Midland exhibitions.
Keith is a member of the RBSA, The Birmingham Easel Club, The Dudley Society of Artists, and is currently President of the Birmingham Art Circle.
